Consortium and Assembly Development Event Update
The next steps in the development of Plymouth's Third Sector Consortium (PTSC) got off to a flying start with over 45 Community and Voluntary organisations taking part in workshops at the event held recently at Plymouth Pavillions. After an update of progress of the establishment of the company and workplan of the Consortium an introduction to the newly formed Localities development was given by Peter Aley, Assistant Director for Safer Communities, Plymouth City Council. Bringing the first half of the morning session to a close was a presentation of the proposed membership critieria and Consortium structure roles.
All organisations then had an opportunity to take part in workshops to agree the membership criteria, structure roles within the Consortium and Terms of Reference before moving onto a presentation from Catherine Brunsden of the Local Strategic Partneship of the draft Third Sector Strategy consultation. The final item on the programme was the proposed Third Sector Consortium Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) respresentation incluiding a timetable for implementation.
