Find out more about Social Enterprise at networking event
A networking event next week will offer community and voluntary sector organsations the chance to find out more about social enterprise and support available to get business ideas off the ground.
The morning event will kick-start the creation of the Plymouth Social Enterprise Network which aims to bring individuals and organisations together to raise awareness, share knowledge, make contacts and strenghthen the growing social enterprise activities in Plymouth.
During 2009 the Plymouth Third Sector Consortium commissioned research to find out whether there was support from the formation of a Social Enterprise Network for Plymouth. The findings showed that there was support and this event is the first stage of making the network a reality.
Alongside the networking opportunities, sources of information and advice will be available. Organisations will also have the opportunity to talk to others who have successfully developed social enterprise activites, sharing their own experiences and outlining the benefits of the Social Enterprise model for their future development.
The event is taking place on Tuesday 2nd March 2010 at Wolseley Community Development Trust, registration & tea and coffee are at 10am and a sandwich lunch will be provided at the end of the meeting. For more details and to make a booking click here.
