Notice of Intention to Hold a Postal Ballot

Plymouth Third Sector Consortium (PTSC) wishes to inform all Assembly members and potential members of its intention to conduct a postal ballot under the guidance of Plymouth City Councils Election Returns Officer.  This postal ballot is for the purposes of electing the three Assembly members to the Third Sector Consortium Executive.   Those wishing to be elected for the Executive positions will also become Directors of the Plymouth Third Sector Consortium until the Annual General Meeting in summer 2011 but will be eligible for re-election.

Please note only those organisations who have become full members before Wednesday 23rd December 2009 will be eligible to submit an individual for nomination for the elected positions or take part in the postal ballot.  All organisations eligible to become members of the Plymouth Third Sector Consortium Assembly are encouraged to apply to become full members and register to vote.  Registration to vote forms are available to download below or can be obtained by contacting us direct.

Registration to vote forms for the postal ballot will need to be returned by 5.00pm Wednesday 23rd December 2009. 

Following receipt of all registrations for voting a register of voters will be drawn up and nominations papers made available for the three positions on the PTSC website to download or can be obtained by email or post by contacting Ruth Walls, PTSC Admin and Development Worker.

Nominations for the Assembly representative positions of the Executive will close at 5.00pm on Friday 31st January 2010.

Ballot papers for the Election will be issued to all registered voting organisations on Monday 2nd February 2010 and must be returned by 12 noon Friday 19th February 2010 when they will be placed in sealed ballot boxes.

All registered member organisations are entitled to attend the count of the election on Monday 22nd February 2010 to be held at Plymouth Guild, Ernest English House, Buckwell Street, Plymouth PL1 2DA in the presence of Nigel Spilsbury, Electoral Services Manager, Plymouth City Council.
