The Consortium Consults

Published on 28th May 2009

This year there have been two large PTSC events to consult with the sector.

On 23rd January we held a Networking and Workshop Event at the Tamar View Complex.  We had a presentation of the possible Third Sector Consortium structure and a workshop to discuss the issues arising from this.  In the afternoon we looked at Third Sector Representation on the LSP Board.  Information from these two sessions was taken back and collated and used to inform our next steps.

On 30th March we had a Presentation, Workshop and Q & A Session at Engage Plymouth (formerly Carmel Church).  This was mainly an opportunity for Lin Whitfield and Will Bee to present their research around the infrastructure needs of frontline third sector organizations in Plymouth.  There was an opportunity to ask questions and discuss the research.

During the afternoon we also looked at the draft Terms of Reference for the Assembly, Gaps in Networks and how to fill them, Consortium plans for 2009/10 and had an update on the Consortium structure.

Over 60 organisations attended these two events and helped inform the Consortium of the needs and views of the sector on the work we are doing.
