Basis 2 Project - Volunteer Development

The Basis project is about working with both front line volunteer involving organisations (VIO's) and directly with volunteers through training and learning opportunties.  Based at and co-ordinated by Plymouth Guild Volunteer Centre this three year project will be offering free training for volunteers and support for organisations who are interested in undertaking the Investing in Volunteers Programme.

  • Opportunities for Volunteers:

The project offers free training for volunteers in a two day course 'Understanding Volunteering and Improving your Communication Skills' which is ideal for individuals who are starting out in Volunteering or want to build confidence and learn some basic skills in communication.

  • Opportunities for Volunteer Involving Organisations (VIO's):

The project will be inviting applications from VIO's who are interested in undertaking the process of accreditation for the Investing in Volunteers Programme, as awarded by Volunteering England.
